Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift big winners at Billboard Awards!!

Pop stars Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift won the big prizes on Sunday at the Billboard Music Awards, which also honored legendary performers Madonna and Prince.

Bieber, who was named top male artist, also performed at the show at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. He also took home Billboard's first Milestone Award, chosen by fans, for musical innovation and ingenuity.

"I'm 19 years old. I think I'm doing a pretty good job, Bieber said. "It should really be about the music. This is not a gimmick. I'm an artist and I should be taken seriously. And all this other bull should not be spoken of."

The teen heartthrob did not elaborate, but in recent months he has been involved in several high-profile incidents ranging from driving offenses to reports of hard partying and drugs being found on his tour bus in Sweden.

Swift won the top award of the night, artist of the year. She thanked her fans by telling them: "You are the longest and best relationship I've ever had."

Pop diva Madonna was named top touring artist for her "MDNA Tour," 2012's highest-grossing concert series.

Madonna strode onstage to accept the accolade from will.i.am, wearing black fishnet stockings, garters and a padlock choker.

The MDNA tour grossed more than $305 million from 88 sold-out shows and attracted an audience of 2.2 million people. Madonna acknowledged her fans, saying: "A showgirl needs her fans. Thank you for supporting me for three decades."

She also thanked her four children for being "incredibly supportive."

The Billboard Music Awards, hosted by "30 Rock" star Tracy Morgan, opened with Bruno Mars performing "Treasure."

Early awards went to Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, who won top rap song for "Thrift Shop," and Nicki Minaj, who took home the top rap artist honor.

Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" was named top digital song, while Swift took home the top Billboard 200 album award for "Red."

French producer and DJ David Guetta was named top electric dance music artist.

Among musical highlights, Bieber performed "Take You," which was chosen by his fans via Twitter, before pairing up with will.i.am for "#ThatPOWER."

Other musical pairings included Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull singing "#LiveItUp," Minaj and Lil Wayne who performed "High School," and Christina Aguilera and Pitbull singing "Feel This Moment."

Selena Gomez, Chris Brown, Icona Pop, South Korea rap sensation Psy and Swift, who was nominated for 11 Billboard awards and received eight, performed as well.

In an apparently unscripted moment, Miguel, performing "Adorn," leapt from the stage and landed feet-first atop two young women. No mention was made on the broadcast as to whether they were injured.

The show ended with the Icon Award for Prince, in recognition of his unique career and accomplishments in the music industry. Prince performed a medley to close the show, but did not deliver an acceptance speech.

King of Swaziland wants to make me his (14th) virgin bride, says woman seeking asylum in the UK

A young woman is seeking asylum in Britain after she spurned the advances of the polyamorous King Mswati III of Swaziland (pictured right) and refused to join his harem of 13 wives.
Tintswalo Ngobeni, 22, fled to England from the southern African nation as a teenager after she caught the attention of the millionaire monarch, a notoriously oppressive ruler known for his lavish lifestyle.
As part of Swazi custom, King Mswati III, 45, is permitted to choose a new bride every year.
Miss Ngobeni, who now lives in Birmingham, was just 15 when the King made his advances after seeing her at the palace of his fourth wife, LaNgangaza. She said she was ‘terrified’ when she learned of his marriage intentions.
She added: ‘He started calling me at boarding school. He would ask me if I wanted to be a part of the royal family. I had to keep quiet about my fears but I knew I didn’t want to get married to him and have a life devoted to the king.
‘His wives are kept in their palace, surrounded by bodyguards, and they can’t really go anywhere unless the king says so. The only thing they do is go to America once a year, as the king gives them a shopping allowance.’
The Reed Dance ceremony, pictured, is known as Umhlanga and sees thousands of Swaziland’s ‘prettiest virgins’ dance topless for King Mswati III, every August, hoping to be his next wife.
Miss Ngobeni was forced to abandon a comfortable lifestyle in a private boarding school as her aunt, who was her chief guardian, arranged the escape to England to join her mother, who moved to Birmingham five years earlier, fleeing an abusive husband.
‘I didn’t have a choice,’ she said. ‘Nobody has ever turned down the king or dares to disobey him, so I just disappeared.’
Since her arrival in England, Miss Ngobeni has become a vocal opponent of the oppressive Swazi regime, where political opposition parties are banned and activists routinely arrested or assaulted.
However, Miss Ngobeni’s high-profile activities, including weekly protests outside the Swazi embassy in London with activist group Swazi Vigil, have caught the attention of the authorities in her home country and she now believes she is in more danger than ever.
She said: ‘Recently I had news that people had been sent from Swaziland to come and get me, which really scares me. If I went back, I would be arrested or much worse as there are people there who are tortured, beaten up or killed for being politically active.’
Miss Ngobeni now lives in fear of having to return to Swaziland, after her first plea for political asylum in England in 2007 was denied in 2011.
Last month, she was arrested and taken to an immigration detention centre after 18 months of reporting weekly to the authorities.
However, after pressure from the TUC and the office of Roger Godsiff, Labour MP for Birmingham, Miss Ngobeni was released and has now been granted an appeal by the Home Office.
Mr Godsiff said yesterday: ‘We were very pleased solicitors were successful in achieving a judicial review into Miss Ngobeni’s case.’
The father of 27 children, King Mswati III was a guest at the William and Kate wedding as well as the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations last summer.
The king’s sixth wife escaped from the royal harem last year, citing years of ‘emotional and physical abuse’ by her husband.

Actress Chioma Chukwuka Akpotha: “Why I Married My Husband Secretly”

Chioma Chukwuka Akpotha is one of the popular Nigerian actresses, who has done quite well for herself in the industry since she joined in 2000.
photo
With over 50 movie roles to her credit in the last 13 years, the actress recently joined the world of producers with her debut flick, On Bended Knees. She spoke to Movie Moments’ Mutiat Alli on her life, people’s perception of her been arrogant and her hubby.
How do you feel as a new entrant into the world of production?
I can’t really explain how I feel because this a dream I have nurtured for so long and seeing it come to reality is just like a dream come true to me and perhaps the reception has been immeasurable considering the fact that it is my first major production as a producer.
What actually prompted your decision to turn producer over night?
I want to correct that impression of me turning into a producer over night simply because I have been in the industry for quite an age now and for me to produce a movie of my own is just to let the world understand the fact that even been an actress; I can as well turn out to be fantastic producer and that has been my dream for a very long time.
On Bended Knees is directed by good hands; what formed your choice of selection?
I feel they both understood what I was looking out for in the production of the movie; so having Emem Isong and Lancelot Imasuen as my directors is the greatest thing that happened to me because they both believed in my dream. Even at the time of giving up on the production; they were both there to encourage me and at the end of it all I was able to have a fantastic movie.
What is the movie all about?
On Bended Knees is a movie very dear to my heart. It’s a captivating story of a young and vibrant man who relegated his duties as a husband and the man of the house to the background. His wife, ignored and lonely, finds comfort in the company of her boss. It is discovered that the wife is having an affair with her boss and things take a new twist. This story happens every day even in the midst of the “seemingly” perfect relationships. It’s a movie every home should have and watch.
Considering when you started in the industry; what is your view on the standard of movies been produced in Nigeria presently?
Well professionally, I started acting in 2000 and there is a far difference between the kind of films produced now and back in the days; I can authoritatively say it loud and clear that the Nigerian movie industry has been impressive considering the kind of equipments we now use in shooting our movies. Also, we have been able to meet up with international standard. I believe the sky is our starting point and definitely not our limit.
You have managed and maintain an almost scandal free reputation; how have you been able to manage this?
I feel it has been the grace of God because we all are not created perfect and as such we just manage to be our self and be of the best behavior.  I just feel being an actor opens you up to controversies, scandals and all that. Maybe I’ve just been lucky.
You turned 33 just last month. Looking ahead, what do you hope to have achieved by your next birthday?
I hope that by my next birthday, I would have done another movie and grown from this level. There is no stagnancy in the industry. If you don’t see an actor for a period of time in movies, it doesn’t mean they are not doing something. Some are directing, some are producing, some are rebranding. There is no dry moment. For me, I want to move to another level by my next birthday.
As a married woman, what has marriage taught you?
I have learnt a lot from been a married woman because it only take the Grace of God for two people who are completely different to stay together for the rest of their lives. One major thing I have learnt is patience and perseverance. One needs to tolerate one another.  I and my husband not just see ourselves as been married; we are also friends.
Much has not been said about your husband; how will you describe him and why haven’t we been seeing you two together?
I have got the best husband as a friend and the father of my children; he is loving, caring and has been supportive of my career and for not seeing him around me; it’s our mutual agreement to make our marriage private. We are happy and our source of joy been our children.
What is that one impression that people have about you and you would like to correct?
Definitely it’s going to be on this issue of me been arrogant which I know I am not; I strongly believe in the saying that you don’t judge a book by its cover. I guess people of that impression are people who don’t know me or aren’t closer to me. I am not arrogant.

Mother, 3 Daughters Raped At Gunpoint

A gang of suspected rapists at the weekend raped 3 daughters and their mother in Illah town, Oshimili North local government area of Delta State at gun point.
Spokesman of the state police command, ASP Lucky Uyabeme, said the victims were ambushed on their way to the farm, adding that one of the suspects, identified as Chuks had attempted to woo one of the victims, who is a 16-year-old SSII student of one of the secondary schools in the area, but failed.
He said upon interrogation, the suspect confessed to have invited his gang members who assisted him to rape the girl, her mother and two sisters on that fateful day.
It was gathered that the rapists emerged from the thick forest and held the victims with AK 47s. They allegedly stripped them naked before defiling them on the bush path.
Uyabeme said that while the act lasted, passers-by who heard their shout rushed to the scene and were given the same treatment by the suspects who after threatening to kill them escaped with their victims’ wrappers and tools into the bush.
Luck however, ran out on one of the gang members as he was identified by the victims.
Some sympathizers who assisted the victims allegedly contacted the police where they insisted that one of the suspects was a known face in the community.
Leadership Sunday learnt that there have been reported cases of rape in the area.In the last two months no fewer than eight under-aged girls were allegedly raped in the community.
The police spokesman said that detectives acting on a tip-off swung into action and arrested the said Chuks who led them to the hideout of his gang members where they were arrested in Kwale with several AK47s recovered from them.
Only last Monday, an 18-year-old female student of Asaba Girls Grammar School was allegedly raped by a group of suspected cultists who assaulted her on her way from the church after a vigil.

Man loses manhood after giving beggar N50 in Akure

“Wonders,” they say, “will never cease”. This was the scenario at the weekend at the Old Garage, Akure when a middle-aged woman was alleged to have used charm to take a boy’s penis.
It was gathered that the victim, Adewale Akande, a graduate of College of Education, Oro, Kwara State gave the woman who begged him for alms, N50 but five minutes later, he discovered that he was having a feeling that his manhood had disappeared.
Apparently uncomfortable with the situation, the victim, in his mid-twenties, called a traffic officer around to help him arrest the woman whom he said begged him for alms.
When brought to the Police Area Command Station at Oyemekun Road, Akure, it was learnt that the suspect first denied having collected money from the victim. But after a thorough interrogation by the Police, she confessed that she received the money from Adewale.
Meanwhile, there was tension around the police station as Wale’s family members insisted that the case be transferred to the Deji’s Palace for traditional solution.
After six hours of apprehension, the victim was taken to an undisclosed hospital where he regained his manhood.
Narrating his ordeal to “DailyPost”, Akande said he came to Akure on Tuesday with his brother, Ademola, to inform their relatives about Ademola’s marriage.
The incident, he said, happened when he was about boarding a commercial vehicle to Ilorin from Old Garage; leaving his brother, behind as he promised to leave Akure the following day, Friday.
Akande said the beggar had begged her for alms, after which he gave her N50 only to notice after five minutes that his manhood was ‘shrinking’.
He said all efforts to get help from passengers in the car proved abortive, as they mistook him for ’419? (fraudster). The graduate said he immediately called his brother on phone before approaching traffic wardens for help.
He said, “I just saw the woman on the road. She was begging me that I should give her N50. I gave her and in the next five minutes, I saw that my body was weak and my penis became very tiny like broom”.
Ademola, his brother, confirmed the incident, saying Wale called him immediately after the incident occurred. He expressed surprise at the mysterious disappearance of his brother’s manhood, adding that but for God’s intervention, it would have been a different story.
On her part, an aunty to the victim whom the brothers had visited, Prophetess Florence Adeojo of C&S, Imole-Ayo Parish, Oke-Ijebu, Akure advised members of the public who want to give alms to give them directly to churches and not to every beggar they see on their way.
When DailyPost reporter visited the Area Commander’s office yesterday, it was discovered that the woman was still under detention, just as none of the officers were willing to speak to press on the matter.
The Police Public Relations Officer [PPRO], Mr. Wole Ogodo who confirmed that the case was taken to the Police Area Command, said the police was not really sure if the victim truly lost his manhood.
According to him, “the boy and the beggar who is an able body woman were taken to the Station and during the interrogation, the Area Commander asked if the boy has a girlfriend or someone who could help him test if he had really lost his manhood, but Adewale claimed that his girlfriend was very far from Akure and no one around could help him make the test if his manhood was still functioning.
“The Area Commander also asked from the victim the last time he had eaten, but Adewale said for the past seven days he had been fasting. The Police boss immediately directed the boy to go to the hospital for proper medical attention, believing that the victim might be suffering from psychological problem since he had not eaten for the past seven days.
“Later on, the boy returned from the hospital and confirmed that his manhood was now functioning properly. However, the woman has been warned by Police not to stay around that area again or any place to solicit for money, rather, she should look for better things to do in order to keep her soul and body together” the PPRO had confirmed.

OMG!! Women only m*sturb*tiôn lounge opens

A new type of lounge opened in Japan recently, according to reports.
A women-only bar stocked with colorful masturbatiôn sèx toys becomes a hot new thing in Japan.
Love Joule, a “love and sèx bar dedicated to women,” aims to promote a comfortable environment in which ladies can “openly discuss masturbatiôn”, perhaps with the help of a cocktail or two. “Since most people see female masturbatiôn as something of a mystery or taboo, it is not a normal discussion in the typical bars,” the owner, Megumi Nakagawa told a reporter.
Behind the bar at Love Joule are bright candy-colored vibrators and lubricants. There is also a selection of bottles of champagne and liquor. The bar, which opened in July in Tokyo’s Shibuya district, is beyond the reach of men, unless accompanied by a woman.
It’s about fashion and sèx in a different kind of space perfect for girls-only conversations or a date,” Nakagawa said, according to the reporter in Tokyo. The bar has already become popular among the stars of the adult film industry in Japan, citing X-rated actress Mine Nayuka as a customer, the local newspaper reported.

I’m Trying To Look Like Peter Of PSquare — Banky W

I am Bankole Wellington but fans call me Banky Warrior or Banky W. I’m a singer and record label owner (Empire Mate Entertainment). I was born in the United States to Nigerian parents.
photo
My family moved back to Nigeria when I was five years old.  After secondary education in Nigeria, I moved back to the US on a college scholarship, where I earned a degree in Engineering from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. While still in college, I won the Albany Idol Competition and that set the stage for my career in music.
Entertainment in Nigeria
We are doing quite well and we have come a long way but we have a long way to go and in terms of marketing music. We have the ‘show’ part but we need to work on the business part.  Nigeria is one of the only places in the world where royalties are not paid by radio and TV stations. These people make use of music to run their businesses and make revenue from advertising but don’t pay us.
Me and artistes
For the ones on my label, I oversee their musical projects and I position them as brands. We do a lot of strategic thinking, planning and negotiations too.
A day in my life
I wake up, pray and I work out with my trainer, Uzi. He is Ikechukwu’s younger brother and he is trying to get me into shape so that I can look like Peter of P Square! After training, I’m back home, shower and try to get a healthy meal. I like chicken breast and sea food a lot. What I do after the morning ritual varies. I have many activities to attend to and in the evenings, after dinner, I watch an Arsenal game before I retire to bed.
Leisure
How and where I hang out depends on the day, sometimes there are events where I have to attend the after-party. Sometimes, I just feel like letting loose and hanging out a bit. At other times, I may be too tired to do so because of my busy schedule.
Dislikes
I hate photo shoots! Photoshoots are annoying to me, the whole process of standing there, posing and doing other random things. However, I realise that I have no choice in the matter, pictures are necessary; people have to see the artiste and connect with his image. Also, the pictures would be needed   for CD covers and press publications. I try to limit them and I only do photoshoots when I have a new album coming out. At such times, I would take a lot of different shots that will last for a year or two so they don’t have to disturb me again. But I love video shoot because I feel I can play a role; I feel as if I am almost acting.
Style
Style is just an expression of who you are and how you are feeling; it is how you want to present yourself to the general public. Comfort influences my style. Even if I am wearing a suit, I have to be comfortable in it and it has to fit properly. I wear a lot of traditional outfits these days because I love the way they make one feel free.  Style is all about you presenting yourself in a way you want people to treat you. If you present yourself like a rascal, people will react to you accordingly. But if you have money like Bill Gates, then you can afford to come out looking unkempt and it would not matter to anybody how you look.
Saddest moment
When I lose a loved one and I have lost one or two.
Relationship
